Reduced Fee Policy
What is my reduced-fee/sliding scale policy?
-
Reduced fees per session is offered on a time-limited basis for up to 15% of my client caseload
-
The agreement is made for 12 weeks and then will be reconsidered at that time
-
My current rate per 60-minute session is $200
-
The lowest end for a reduced fee/sliding scale is $100
Why do I offer a sliding scale? Why is it important to me?
-
I believe that we live in a world that is not equitable
-
This policy is based on my commitment to provide access to clients who would not normally be able to afford my services and as a tool for economic justice
-
I believe that my fees for service are fair compensation that honor the investment and costs of my education, my professional trainings, and help make my small business sustainable
-
Most organizations that offer sliding scale fees for mental health are non-profit organizations that receive funding from different sources to offset the cost of offering reduced or low-fee services
-
J. Socastro, LCSW, PLLC does not receive any outside funding to subsidize care
Please consider the following
if you are thinking of requesting a reduced-fee?
-
I acknowledge that the low of the scale might still not be affordable for some
-
Please understand that I am offering a route that I feel is sustainable for my small business
